Twitter's rise seems unstoppable. Next thing is to have a directory that categorises users.
There's already Justtweetit and Twellow. But I'm captivated by WeFollow, and I commend it.
Send a tweet to @wefollow, containing three words (no more than three) that categorise you. Prefix each word ('tag ') with #.
For example, I tweeted:
@wefollow #canals #waterways #narrowboats
This will list me under all those #tags mentioned. Your words could be different – whatever you like.
To get a feel for it, try http://wefollow.com/tag/canals
But your own words could reflect your interests. For example, @greygal might choose #canals #greyhound #motorhome - just an idea.
Yes, yes, I know this is all gibberish! The world isn't slowing down, you know. I laugh to hear the idea that we should teach 'modern languages in' school. Children are already creating other languages by themselves, as Twitter proves. Teachers should just stick to their own language and hope children understand them.
If you want your child to be educated, teach him #latin and #ancientgreek instead. Then he can read Virgil and and Homer in the original – that's real education!
