Hi, I'm currently working on a CATS ON THE CUT photographic and research project and would love to get in touch with as many people as possible who have cats on board narrowboats, cruisers, Dutch Barges - whatever type - also Lock Keepers who have cats at their cottages and, of course, the feral or wild cats who frequent the inland waterways.

I would need to speak to you either in person, by phone or chat through the wonders of email to share stories, experiences and anecdotes of cats on the cut.

If you'd be willing to help me, please get in touch with me as follows:

catsonthecut@yahoo.co.uk or 07887600028

Hope to hear from you very soon.

Many thanks, Linda - Cats on the Cut.

Thank you for this story what a lovely way to be remembered. As an animal person I can see me with the dog and the cats aboard - sometime in the future hopefully.

The first narrowboat I boarded had two champagne coloured Persian cats occupying the settee.

Now are there any 'Chickens on the Cut?. I would be very interested to find out if there are and how they avoid fowling the propeller.
