Quick catch-up on my cruising log: Cropredy village moorings (11-ish) to Fenny Compton (tying up at 4pm). A pumpout at Fenny Marina. And 14 day moorings close to the Wharf Inn.
Lots happened today, not least Mr Black Swan's stirring (but upsetting) gesture at the top of Claydon Locks. And witnessing the scarecrows at Clattercote Wharf - I must investigate those. And the grumpy Kevin and his rotund and hatched-faced wife Pat on 'Dolly' when I moored up next to them at Fenny. Why are there so many foul and unpleasant moods on the canals these days?
All of which more anon. The Wharf Inn is still a semi-building site, five months after I passed through. But it's looking better than it was in March.
