I use Gmail, and one of the things I like about it is not only the ads down the side, but also the 'related pages' links. Those related pages can be very useful.
And they can be very amusing too. Today I got a press release warning of water shortages on London's canals. The very useful part was a link to Waterscape's reporting publishing of the same story.
The amusing part was immediately below, a story warning of the continuing water glut on many of the north-east American canals after recent heavy rain. It's this Google 'related pages' feature that drives home why Olde England's got a drought: New England's nicked all the rain!
Hey, Richard, the Google adsense stuff is *relevant*!
But more importantly, 'related pages' are not advertising, but Google's idea of what other (non-advertising) pages might be relevant.

Hey now Capn Denny, was it not you, or someone with a name just like yours, that ceased to be a regular on our college old pals site because of the adverts? Hmmm? And here you are, blatantly encouraging them!!!! Ha Ha Ha!
So where have the postings from July 15th and 16th then? Hmmm? something more interesting going on that you should tell us about? Hmmm???
