I've uploaded a short video to YouTube. It shows The Jackson Four on the Huddlesford to Whittington raft race last Saturday.
They were slowly paddling their floating golden raft and - er, 'singing' a medley of Jackson hits to the accompaniment of - er, Pachelbel's Canon. It's redolent of Verdi's Chorus of the Hebrew - er, Slaves.
Lest you accuse them of bad taste, there was something almost elegiac about their backing tune, rather funereal and appropriate. If they are taking the mickey out of anyone, it's not the dear departed.
