What do the new 'slimming cameras' from Hewlett Packard say about our insecurities?
I don't think they'll be very popular with canal boaters, because most narrowboats are already slim enough, thanks very much.
Although come to think of it, in the time I've been on the Grand Union in the last month I've seen quite a few stoutboats between Buckby and Milton Keynes. Most of them are plainly not fit enough to travel far or fast, and look as if they have to pause for breath by the towpath for long periods. Perhaps they could benefit from HP's novel feature to keep within the BW continuous cruising guidelines?
Here are my 'before' and 'after' shots, although just as with the effort to remake our own images of ourselves, I don't suppose it'll allow this sort of boat to skip more daintily and quickly around the canals.
