New wireless internet exchange

James Marshall has set up Wireless Waterways as a sort of database or clearing house for waterways wireless internet hotspots:

He says it's brand new and empty, but would appreciate it if people can start to populate it.   Someone's already added one at Berkhamsted.  I've done my bit by adding the Boat Inn at Newbold, nr Rugby, which I wrote about last week.  Your turn now.

This is sorely needed.  Please contribute!

Andrew of Canalpost - perhaps you might like to add your wifi sites at Wigram's Turn, Long Itchington, Stoke and Peartree?  (together with the rates and the T&C).

Nick Atty's made a splendid effort of adding an automatic wifi finder to his gazetteer on Canalplan, but this relies on an official database and you need to look up a specific location first, instead of just browsing a section of canal.

I'm glad to be back online again after four wirelessless days getting from Rugby to Banbury (apart from Wigram's, which I didn't have time to stop at, there isn't a wireless connection in between the two places).  Perhaps I can relearn the blogging habit this coming week.
