Still at Bishops Stortford

Took a day off work today to keep Granny company.  This weekend it'll have been there for two weeks, and officially I should be moving the boat - it's a 14 day mooring.  Unfortunately I've got to attend a funeral this weekend, so I'm going to stretch a point and move next weekend instead.  I don't think the local lengthsman will complain too much - with Roydon Lock closed until next weekend there won't be any boats coming up here to complain about my squatting, and there's a full furlong of mooring space.

Ironically, because it's a weekday, Hallingbury Marina is open for diesel.  However, there's no time for me to come down to the marina and return in time to get to my funeral tomorrow, so I nipped down by car for another two 5-gal cans of diesel.  Ye gods, at 45p/litre it's the most expensive red diesel I've yet bought!   Last night was the chilliest, hoariest frost of the week, so needs must.   Cheaper than repairing burst water pipes.
