Liverpool Boats web site back online

A post that does what it says in the headline.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Narrowboat Berenice, and mentioned that the Liverpool Boats web site was unavailable. I'm flattered to have a communication from one of the directors of the company that it's back online.

According to the site, they expect to built about 400 boats this year. My, they really do produce them! When Granny Buttons was surveyed for me, about 5 years ago, the surveyor said that they used 'cheap Eastern European steel' in the 1980s. Well, Granny's hull was 1994, and he said they must have switched to a better steel by then, because at the time of the survey, Granny's hull was 'in excellent condition'. It was this, more than anything, which swayed me to buy her.
